This week we talked with Women’s Health Physical Therapist, Layla Madison. Layla tells us that she must do her “homework” in order to keep her body happy. For her this includes hip strengthening exercise and low back stretching. Layla’s favorite stretch is Downward Dog and her favorite strengthening exercise is the Side Plank. Layla says, “When I’m good about doing my homework I feel stronger and move easier, and this makes my body happy”. When her body is happy, she is able to go do her favorite activities like skiing down Mount St. Helens, whitewater rafting the Deschutes River, and cooking big family style meals.
